The days of dropping off a binder of materials to architecture firms are numbered; Twinbru are one of the first manufacturers to embrace the future value that 3D adds to the sales process. And we’re thrilled to be partnering with them.

Investing in an X-Rite machine, Twinbru created 12,000 accurate scans of their vast library of fabrics - digital twins of the physical products. Having digitized thousands of physical fabrics, they’ve worked with virtually every type of fabric, from the complex patterns of jacquard to luxe velvets

Each fabric has unique properties that were captured by Twinbru, then carefully calibrated by Poliigon.

Each asset is complete with real product specifications for each fabric, for designers to access specs such as width, weight, composition and fire retardancy right from the design stage.

This is a game changer for furniture artists, interior designers and archviz artists looking for peace of mind using real-life materials in their models and visualizations. Up until now, a 3D artist could only hope to pull an asset that matched the real thing. But with Twinbru fabrics on Poliigon, you are able to visualize the exact fabric used in the end product.

“Today, it’s rare to find a digital twin of a physical material; in the future, it’ll be rare if you don’t have it.

Designers worldwide love to work with digital twins because they can realize their renders in the real world, with 100% accuracy. Digital twins in models and materials close the gap between design and procurement, becoming a crucial part of the design process, as well as cannibalizing the traditional distribution process.

We’re very happy to be collaborating with a 3D asset library like Poliigon, who are held in high regard by 3D artists and interior designers. The era of digital twins has started…and Poliigon and Twinbru are the pioneers leading the way.”

- Jo De Ridder, Partnership Development at Twinbru

“Textures have gone from being realistic, to being an exact digital twin that clients can order after a visualization is delivered. For the first time ever, we’re seeing brands embrace 3D as a valuable part of their sales process…and we’re thrilled that one of the largest upholstery fabric brands is taking that step with us.”

- Andrew Price, Founder & CEO of Poliigon
